32,000 to 31,000. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen. I think I must be the only person on this board who understands what TCU was at least thinking when they decided to go to the MWC. We won't know for sure for probably another 5 years but as the CUSA stumbles to within percentage points of the MAC in the Sagarin ratings well below the WAC, the argument that being in the MWC would hurt attendance has very little credibility now. Other arguments may be less persuasive as long as CUSA maintains bowls and TV contract.

i have been vocal with the keyboard from the jump that the MWC was a no lose situation for TCU. Why? Its not like they could not re-join CUSA or whatever other non-BCS league whenever they want to. So what if it doesnt work out, we would take them back in a minute. Even if you conjure up some administrative grudge, admins change.

The Colorado State game was parents week end at TCU which put at least 5,000 or 6,000 more in attendence.

TCU is still winning. They will always outdraw us until things change, regardless of who they are playing. Us against UTEP or Southern Miss vs. them against Col State or Sul Ross or TVCC or whoever it is. And I don't doubt for a minute they could go to whatever non BCS conference they wanted.

yeah and IN FACT SMU was TCU's Homecoming victim. So TCU/CSU had bigger attendance than cross-town 100 year Rival SMU.

CSU probably only had 250 - 400 folks there...of course that was probably one-third of the crowd SMU brought. I can't remember a smaller SMU "crowd" at a TCU game since 1993.

Which hardly counteracted being 1-3.
