Is their QB out?
Backup was horrible against Rice.

I think they may still have problems at QB. The guy who played the second half against Rice- Reeves- is supposed to still suffer from his injury and they are moving a former QB back to that position from WR. The starter who got hurt last week is out.

Southern Miss moving Wilson back to quarterback
The Associated Press
JACKSON, Miss. --Southern Miss coaches have moved Todd Wilson back to quarterback because injuries have left the team's depth at the position in question.
Starter Jeremy Young is recovering from a sprained ankle, backup Stephen Reaves has a pulled muscle in his abdomen that makes it difficult to pass and third-stringer Martevious Young broke his leg.
Wilson had been a backup quarterback but was move to wide receiver in the offseason for more playing time.

Sunday Report from the Jackson paper:
Just who will be under center definitely is TBA.
Martevious Young is out for the season.
Jeremy Young has been getting treatment on the ankle, but has only done some very limited, very light throwing, and no one can say when he might return.
"He's OK, threw a little bit, but it's still bothering him," Bower said. "We didn't want to do much with him (Friday). We're hoping that after this weekend, another couple days, maybe he'll be a little better."
Reaves' strained oblique was bothering him so much Friday that he spent most of the afternoon's practice session watching.
USM moved Todd Wilson back to QB from receiver Friday to bolster the spot, and he shared most of the repetitions with freshmen Randy Hardin and Darrin Farris. Another frosh QB, Austin Davis, has been splitting time between football practice and fall baseball.
"We gave (Wilson) a lot of reps (Friday) and worked some of those freshmen in

We gave up 600 yards passing to a glorified intramural QB.

What type of offense does USM run?

Probably passing and running. It's worked pretty well against the defense so far.

If we were going to win one on the road this sould be the game. We have had an extra week to prepare. This game should be a good indication to determine if this team has quit on Bennett and the season. Nothing like watching an SMU team pack-it-in during the mid-point of the season....cannot say we have not seen that before around here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett was game planning for Brett Favre.

His receivers didn't help him out too much. They dropped several balls. Still, their offense seemed to struggle
