how stupid is their DT, hold them to 3 and out and you line up in the neutral zone on the FG
edit: leads to a TD!

Did anyone else see the Stuart Scott Poetry Jam on SportsCenter? I thought the "Who's Now" segment was bad, but this was worse. Much worse.

Even Stallion can admit SMU has better talent than Navy.
NO way PB could coach SMU to a win over Pitt. Pitt is injured but their talent, depth and size beats Navy across the board.
What gives? And for all the Paul Johnson/tripple option nay sayers Navy beat Pitt with the pass multiple times.

the option is tough. once you start guessing you screw yourself for the entire game

Wannstadt is an idiot. Navy leading by a field goal in overtime, and Pitt goes for a TD on 4th down. You tie the game and go to the next round, I guess Wannstadt forgot that.

i don't think that was necessarily a bad call... what i think was the bad call was the fade... when you have been running all over Navy. on 3rd down on the 3 they should have ran the ball, and then ran it again on 4th...

Navy always plays exciting games under Johnson and the guy flat out wins with little talent. He's impressive-can Orsini pulls some magic and entice him here?

it tears me apart inside on this issue. being from pittsburgh, i like dave for all he did while playing at pitt and like the guy. however, he hasnt done jack with a program that was consistently able to compete for Big East titles year in and year out

Whoever said in another thread that Johnson would throw the ball more if he had the players is kidding himself. The guy has run offenses since the mid 80's and run basically the same offense.
I know Johnson may have said that, but it is like Don Nelson saying his teams play no defense because he has no defensive players and has no center. After years and years of evidence, coach, at some point it stops being about the players and starts being about you.
Johnson runs that offense because that is the offense he wants to run.
