I just can't get excited about SMU this weekend playing USM. It has nothing to do with USM. It has everything to do with the performance to date of the Mustangs. I will listen to the game but I just can't imagine getting excited. Man, I feel low. I hope I don't change my screen name to jtponyte.

You can have no expectations without feeling low about yourself. In fact, "no expectations" is all about avoiding that low feeling, albeit that post-game low feeling, leaving nothing but the potential for a pleasant surprise if we win.

I will be back in town if you want to come see it on living CSTV. Let me know. You and Arkpony are always invited. Just beware of the dog.

This would sound a lot more insightful if it was in Yoda-speak. I'll give it a try.

expectations you cannot have, feeling low about yourself, you will. Indeed, to not have expectations, you avoid low feelings. Without post-game low feeling, you see only pleasant surprise if win.

Are you one of the fifteen guys that sent me emails last December telling me that they knew Phil had been fired?
