Speaking of Fran

Looks like Fran is toast at A&M either at the end of or during this season (depending on how things go). Would SMU consider him? I don't think so.
I wonder if he did this letter business at TCU. If so wouldn't they be eligible for some sanctions if recruits were mentioned. This could get quite interesting.
I don't have anything against Fran but he will be on the market. He is now tarnished. Someone will eventually take him.

He probably did - I can't imagine College Station is such a cerebral environment that he conjured up a new idea down there. I'm going to assume he did it at TCU, and that his violation of the "don't talk about recruits" rule means TCU forfeits every game played while he was coach - meaning we didn't go winless after all.

Hate to burst your bubble Horseshoe, but we don't get a win, we just don't have a loss. So our record would be 0 - 11 instead of 0 - 12.

I agree and it will be messy. Let's see..Say he loses to T Tech, Texas and Oklahoma finishing 8-4. Minor bowl. I still think he would be gone. They want him gone and the e-mail embarassment is a great reason for the powers that be. If the 8-4 included a victory over Texas, that could be a different story but I still doubt it. The Gomers are pissed!
Only 10-2 or 11-1 saves his [deleted]. Ain't gonna happen.
