yeah Yay!
I really think we have a chance. S. Miss is really beat up right now. The bye week could only help us, or at least you would think?

The problem of course is that So. Miss is also really upset over losing last week. But then so are we upset over losing to UTEP. I'm hoping for a no holds barred, cage match, war - where the refs keep their flags in the pockets and let the teams just slug it out.

Not as beat up as UTEP was.

Norm said a team that has seven turnovers, combined with sloppy play, usually doesn't correct all of that in one week. Plus he said any team that loses to Rice at home, is not very good. He said SMU should beat the spread, and have a good chance to win. S.Miss. has not played well all year. They are banged up, and are down to their third string qb that is also not 100%. SMU has had two weeks to get ready for this game, there's NO excuse for us to not take this to the wire, or just win the dang thing.

We already have  says on the home page that we beat Southern Miss in volleyball last night.
Ignore that note about Southern Miss beating us in women's soccer last night  that has to be a typo.

Not to be a bad sport, but a helmet to the oblique (wherever that is) might do wonders to improve (from our standpoint) Reaves' accuracy.
Seriously, what is an "oblique"?

I just wanted to point out that my prediction accuracy this year is 80%. I know that last year i was not this good (I called for 10 wins and only got 6), but after predicting that we start 0-5, I think this week is a win. The pressure is on the coaches and the players are feeling the heat right now.
Taking the game to a beat up hattiesburg means less pressure and hopefully that translates into a more relaxed team that avoids mental errors and executes like we all know they can.
What you shouldn't do, is take this as a prediction that we are turning around the season. I am sticking to my guns on 4 wins...
