Could possibly be on the way out at Nebraska at the end of the season. Is he someone we might want to look at? Discuss.

clearly not, it seems the huskers are getting a little taste of what we've had for a few years. the difference with them is that they're pissed and will can callahan if things continue the way they're going in nebraska. callahan would not raise this program

I just don't think the west coast offense works at a place like Nebraska. You need several very athletic receivers and versatile QB, but it's hard to recruit those types of players to come from CA or FL to play in Lincoln. Nebraska needs to go back to more of a balanced game, where they can recruit big lineman to make holes for one or two good running backs. Just my view.

Callahan got an extension last month and the AD got one earlier this year. If they want changes anytime soon, it will cost them millions of dollars to buy out Callahan, his staff, the AD, etc.

Well, sorta. I don't see Tech making huge waves in the Big 12. They've been successful, but they're usually mid-level achievers. I'm seeing the same result at Nebraska. I know they just beat down on a badly overrated A&M team, with only a loss to OSU, but they haven't really played anyone yet. We'll see next week against Mizzou.

I dunno, I think Callahan is an OK guy. Probably a good coach when he's got the right pieces in place.

Actually, they play A&M this week. Also, they got walloped by Mizzou, 41-6 a couple of weeks ago.

My theory isn't out the door, they are just going to have to dig DEEP to wipe the slate clean. If they want to do that, then good for them.

If he can't win at Nebraska, he wouldn't have a chance at SMU.

No worries, they just need to sell a few more bushels and Omaha Steaks.

Statement regarding AD's dismissal referred to the university's disappointment with the progress of the football program. Sounds to me like Callahan should have his bags packed quickly, because it seems the AD might have been his only ally.
