Glad to see that we took his redshirt off the past game. Always good to play those freshman because they give us the best chance to win. :? At least he got 2 catches in the game, which makes it well worth while. Given the play of our OL, I am surprised we haven't taken the redshirt off of some of those players.

when your job is on the line you play all the cards... go red sox!

Theoretically, that's true. But his job isn't on the line. Phil's gone and everyone connected with the program -- even him -- knows it.

You know as well as me that you are not going to win playing freshman. I understand that his job is on the line. He understood this at the beginning of the year. If he thought Aldrich was the man for the job, he should have started him from the beginning. Why wait until now? Of course, he has done this in previous years with freshmen so it really isn't a surprise to me. Just another reason why it is time for a change.

It's called scorched earth policy.

why not play him? im sure PB thought he wouldn't be 1-5 at this point.... so take the red shirt off and play the guy you recruited who can help the program (since no one else is performing).... its not that hard to understand

Its also a sure sign of desperation on his part! But then again, his offense stinks as it has ever since he has been head coach.

I agree he should have played earlier. Remember Devin Lowery was out last week with a back injury

I missed that so yeah he should have played. I, however, wonder why we haven't played Burley given his size and speed unless he has eaten himself into a tight end position. Even so, they should have kept him at wide out. We could use the size out there!
