Amongsh the Terry Bowdens being thrown around, recently also heard the name Kurt Schottenheimer. Longtime NFL defensive coordinator and current DB's Coach in Green Bay..is a big name and had a daughter that graduated from SMU.
What other names are being thrown around?

I am not participating in such discussions in earnest until the appropriate time, but if you want a Schottenheimer, get Brian Schottenheimer.

*Terry Bowden, Yes.

*Kurt Schottenheimer or any other great Defensive/Offensive coordinator who hasn't lead a Division 1 program with some level of success as THE HEAD COACH, NOOOOOOOOOO! This catagory would also include former great players, cousins of someone great, Bear Bryant's old neighbor's great grandson, etc.

We can't afford to endure another 6 years of losing by conducting another coaching experiment.

If Brian Schottenheimer hasn't coached at least one Division 1 Football Program with some level of success, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Success as a NFL coordinator is just as experimental as hiring another great college coordinator with no Head Coaching experience. We have lost toooo long to do that again.

Charlie Waters is too inexperienced to coach this team...what, a half a dozen seasons with Denver and a couple with Oregon, and out of coaching for almost 10 years......NEXT!

How about Pamela Anderson? She may not be able to coach, but who cares. And her press conferences would be hilarious. Why did you run a pass play on 4th and inches? "Because, my hair got caught on that silly headphone and the QB thought I was signalling pass."

You have a point. If we are going to blow money on another useless contract, might as well be entertained.

Is Turner Gill someone of interest?
Yes, it could be very risky.
Not enough head coach experience.
But on the plus side could relate to the young kids?
I would think he could recruit.
Has coached at SMU.
Is from Dallas-Fort Worth.
Probably not, but worth an interview.
