We need someone who knows football, can handle the media, and can recruit! If his interview is the first time he sets foot on Texas soil, but can get the job done who cares about ties to Texas? Matt Doherty is recruiting nationally because he can thanks to his national reputation. Can he coach? I think so!

hindsight being 20/20, I would love to have seen how Charlie Waters would have done as SMU's head coach.

Just wish there were more former Dallas Cowboy and/or SMU "stars" out there in the coaching ranks. I think it was West Virginia I was watching recently where several of their guys were majoring in "athletic coaching". Would love to see SMU graduates populating the ranks of Texas H.S. football coaches

I'd always wondered what prevented schools from offering degree programs like that. I guess nothing.

We don't need a coach with some groovy national rep...we need a guy who can recruit some studs in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and can consistently beat Memphis, USM, Tulane, NTSU and Rice....AND, is from Big D.....who is this, you ask..?
