John L. Smith

Worth bringing his name up. Has had success as a 1-A head coach and helped build the program at Louisville. Not my first, second, or even third choice, but worth a look. Would rather have him over an up and coming cordinator.

yea, didnt do much with MSU. Known for his second half collapses.

yea youre right...i meant to type somewhat instead of someone, guess i was drinking the koolaid at the time.

but was known for his fast starts but horrible downhill finishes.

If you want a team that's undisciplined and consistently leads your conference in penalties per game, then he is your man.

I wouldn't mind him. He graduates his players.

But he is a protege of Dennis Erickson...
