its sad when you get your arse manhandled by Tulane at home. good god, what torture. 342 yards? Are you kidding? Tulane? didnt they have a hurricane there two years ago? Looks like SMU was the one devastated by a hurricane. Hurricane Forte. the real concerning thing is that wasnt x's and o's tonight.

Good luck coach bennett. that about does it, and we are starting over on another rebuilding process. Watch. the new guy will come in just like Doherty has and declare a major long term rebuild.

really thought we'd make it to a bowl game in my time at smu. can my senior year be any worse next year?

I don't think it'll take a rebuild, just a good coach that the players will play for. The offense will only improve with all the young tallent they have, only thing worrisome is the OL since they'll have to replace a few seniors.
And the defense has a few gutty young players, and I believe it can improve with better coaching(well, it can't get any worse!).

WRONG, when we hire the former Lufkin HS coach because he got fired
for losing to Longview this year, he will blow up what hasBennett did. We will start from square 1 again, and have our 2nd O-FER season in 6 years.

Oh we are rebuilding all right-at least on defense. We were completely physically outplayed by a single player. SMU was better than Tulane easily but could not physically compete with Forte. Not Xs and O s at all--just physically could not stop Forte. In position all Nite-couldn't stop him because he was the only quality player on the entire field by both teams. How could you watch that fiasco and think we are not rebuilding on defense? Mark my words-this is going to take awhile.

the year cavan got fired, the mob said the next coach would do much better with all the talent. when dement got fired, the mob on this board said the next coach would do better with all the talent. When tubbs got fired after two years, the mob said the next coach would to much better with all the talent. The next coach came, said he had a long rebuilding job to do, and went something like 3-12 in league play last year.

if you guys don't think the next coach won't come in here and declare a 5 year rebuilding process you are crazy. The expectations for this team were a result of hype, not reality. most people knew we had problems on defense and those arent going away anytime soon.

What mob? A mob takes people. There are no people (on the blvd or in the stands).

The SMU crowd can now be gathered in a good 3-A stadium.

what a shame. Willis played well and they showed a lot by coming from behind a couple of times in the second half, but jesus that guy had OVER 300 YARDs. bull.

I didn't realize the Rice University band had such an interest in SMU athletics!

it looked like either the MOB or the Stanford Band was playing defense for SMU after the first Quater.

Stallion: Would you consider amending your statement that Forte was the only quality player on the field for both teams? I think Emmanuel Sanders is playing his way into that category.

Yeah-I just got back from the club after celebrating the victory. If you noticed above I was talking about the defense when I said we are rebuilding at least on defense.
