This from the Dallas Morning News Blog based upon information from Coach Franchiones VIP e-mail scandal. Conclusion: Gibbs would consider a return to College Coaching for the right price

DAVIS: This brings up something few people are talking about. In the "VIP" e-mails obtained by The News, we got a full insight into how Darnell was brought to A&M. Franchione's assistant, Mike McKenzie, told subscribers that Franchione initially wanted to hire Cowboys assistant Gary Gibbs to replace Carl Torbush. Gibbs asked for $400,000, according to the e-mails. Franchione came back with an offer of $330,000 and a three-year contract.

"That would have made him the second-highest paid DC in the country known, just $3,333 short of the top," McKenzie wrote. Gibbs spent a day mulling it over and declined the offer. Later in the same VIP e-mail, McKenzie wrote, "As Fran said this afternoon, 'That was the only deciding factor – $70,000. We had no problem with anything else. It came down to salary.'"

He might bring Cale Gundy down from OU as his offensive coordinator. Cale is currently the QB coach and recruiting coordinator at OU.

I think I could be happy with this guy.

That's correct. Gundy is the RB coach.

Oops, my bad. You are right, Gundy is RB coach.
