Applewhite could never say "I'M A MAN-I'M 40".

Thank you-thank you very much.

Not to mention that he turned down the Rice job last year.

Not to mention he's probably tied up in 'Bama for a couple of years until Saban leaves that job too.

People keep saying that... but the only thing I have found was that he accepted the 'Bama position the day before Graham bolted for Tulsa. Besides, he grew up a 'Bama fan....... I mean, if Rice DID offer him the job, he was already gone. Why not spend some time (at least a year) with Saban in Tuscaloosa?

I don't know...I think he would look pretty silly on our sideline wearing that burnt orange jersey.

And I bet Rice was not paying to much either. Tulsa set the bar at 1 mil for us little CUSA schools.

And he'd probably turn us down which would be even more embarrassing. He won't come to a coach killer program like SMU at this age. His eyes are set on making a name for himself, finding the right program in about 5 years so that when MAC leaves Austin, he's there to be crowned. A stint at SMU if unsuccessful, would spoil that wet dream.

He hasn't heard Orsini's pitch yet

I would think you'd be pulling for Phil Fulmer to be hired, so you'd only have to change a small piece of your sig.
