Would it have been different?

I wonder.......?

If it woulda been different?

Maybe a quicker turn-around?

Does anyone remember that after the death penalty Coach Bill
McCartney
interviewed to take the SMU Head Coach position and
build a program from the ground up. He was subsequently talked
out of it by the University of Colorado President.

In the final regular season poll for 1989, the Colorado
Buffaloes had taken only seven years to go from 110th to number
one in the country. In 1990 the McCartney Buffs won a share of the National Title.

But he still would have had to deal with the post DP recruiting restrictions.

wasn't that PromiseKeepers based out of Denton-i always thought that had a lot to do with his interest. Man talking about hiring a guy who did not fit the Job. He would have been miserable-probably left after a couple of years.
