Whereas I am pretty certain that active coaches can not be contacted without the approval of their AD and an Ad is not going to give that during the season, do any of you lawyers or others adept at employment law and/or procedure know if we can be contacting the agents of particular coaches and requesting information or interest on behalf of the coach?

I have a question did the other coaches get fired as well?

That is up to the new Head Coach. Technically, they were not fired, but the new coach can renew their contract or send them packing.

Coach Roark is definitely not toxic. In fact, I hope the new boss will retain him. Coach Roark has been responsible for the few recruiting sucesses we've had the last couple of years.

According to an Orsini quote in the Daily Campus today the coaches will have their contracts honored through May 2008.

Back to my original question, can we contact agents for coaches without permission form the ADs?

This is strictly my guess, but I would think not. I would think that would be a breach of contract.
