The fallout begins?
Key redshirt freshman and freshman players, along with some upper classmen have begun the process of transferring. Even the players know this is a done deal at SMU. Can't be fixed in their timeframe and some of them have too much to loose. This is a long term process and even Orsini stated that. How much longer do we have before the board of regents move in and cancel this thing we call football?

and why is this such a long process? everyone was thinking bowl this year, marketing and excitment, etc. we should have made a bowl last year! and with a new coach, why is that not likely??
Once again, another mindless rumor being filtered because we all know that everybody is leaving the program.
Spare us this crap. They're not going anywhere. It might be in their best interest to listen to the new coach before they "kneejerk" decide. Nice that emotions, not common sense is driving this USELESS POST.
I heard this garbage about Justin Willis and Bamba Fall. As far as I can tell, both are still in school.
What a complete joke

No way man! Time will tell it all. I have tried to explain to most of these posters that their understanding of football centers around SMU. That is the major issue. If they really understood college athletics they would know that these kids are treated like crap at this university by faculty and so called fans. I have players telling me all the time about faculty laughing in their faces about the football program, and doing everything possible to make the education process even harder than what it already is. Houston we have a major issue here and there is not a coach in the country that can turn it around within ten years. So get ready for the long haul. Every post stating anything different, I am on line calling you an idiot. Good spelling or not.

By the way, this happens at about 118 other universities across this country.
If these kids leave because people laughed at them, then they're cowards who have been babied and wouldn't know the first thing about learning to get through the ups and downs of life.
This whole thread is absurd.

That's interesting as well, because those boys are very intelligent and they are committed. Football is a committment....they have to be dedicated to do what they do and put up with waht they put up with...They are human as well. And the GPA for some of them is Awesome.

I'm going to point out to our friend Casey, that not only should our professors be shown the door, they should also have a boot mark on their [deleted].
The faculty is the most divisive force on this campus.
