When Navy napalmed the endzone.

Why they start bringing down the new goal posts almost before the game is over.

Two years of Iron Skillet bliss.

Bennett got squashed at Rice, just like our bowl hopes.

That was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Student Linebacker

I want more appearances from him it definitely was the best fan appearance anyone has made at SMU in the last 4 years. Does anyone have any pictures of that?
Girls LOVE hearing about things like my car and my season tickets. I usually try to work in what street my parents live on, just so they know where I'm coming from. That's a deal closer. Always be closing!

As did I...I remember him walking onto the field with his jacket on. The other team's QB (I think) probably asked him what he was doing, and the kid just shrugged. It took security a good 10 seconds or so to realize he was out there. Man, that was a CLASSIC

One of the best fan moments in SMU history, if not the best. Greatness!

I guess it was Fall '04 and we were playing Nevada. Without looking back at the schedule, I think this was one of those "it's late in the season, no one is here, let's see if we can win a game" games.

Anyways, some drunk student climbed down onto the field (without being stopped), grabbed a loose Nevada helmet and put it on (without being stopped), and stumbled out into the Nevada huddle (without being stopped). At this point, the Nevada QB is like "wtf" and DPS comes running out. They rip the helmet off the guy and strongarm him off the field.

EXCEPT FOR the all out, game-cancelling, fan/team brawl that I witnessed at an Arena football game in the 90's, this was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen at a sporting event.

I will recap the whole story for you soon - too busy right now. One of the single greatest stories ever. From the security guard that ignored his fall onto the field to the pre-crime request for bail, this was just simply amazing!

Why is there not a reference to his meeting with the Mustang Club when he told the group,

"I've forgotten more football than you'll ever know.''

C'mon people. That's the signature moment.
