What a difference a year will make?

I can't wait to find out who we are bringing in-

but dollars to doughnuts next year at Halloween we won't be out of Bowl contention- and I say that not knowing who we are recruiting Stallion

But rather having a name coach who knows how to run a Division 1 football program with the support of the University!

my wish list-

1. Rick Neuheisel

2. Terrry Bowden

3. Dennis Franchione

4. Gary Barnett

The four have played in big games and won

they have been there before and SMU will now be there again

I was looking at the A&M board. Interestingly they seem to be split on Applewhite. He originally committed to them before going to UT. They think there is no way Applewhite would come here since it would doom his career if he failed as a first time HC. All in all they seem as confused as us about who is going to be their new HC. They say we can have Fran.

Torre is going to the Dodgers. Too bad for us. Great guy.

The DMN would love us forever if we took Applewhite. He seems to be a very hot name right now. He may have some interesting choices. If A&M is throwing his name around then you know he is hot. I have to say that I am in the camp of hiring a proven d-1 (not that new stupid name) HC. Give me a tranished former HC with something to prove.
