As many contended, Coach Vic & his staff, hired by Steve-O & not PB, will be staying on the Hilltop.

Too lazy to look up the link, sorry. Try www.dallasnews.com, sports, colleges

Great news indeed, he certainly appears to need more time with the fellas, gettting them in shape to perform in the 4th. quarter, that is....

If the new coach says he wants his own guy as a condition to taking the job, I have no problem kicking Vic to the curb. Sorry, but them is the breaks.

Vic is awesome and I am so happy he is staying but from an administrative point-this is stupid! We are going to hire a big name coach but you can't pick your own strength coach?! Huh

No one says he has to be strength coach. That is his area of expertise apparently but I am sure that when Spurrier is hired, if he wants his own strength guy that Orsini could find something for Villoria to do. The only thing about his hire was that it was done by Orisini and not Bennett and it looks to me from the outside that Villoria was smart enough when he signed on to say "What hapeens if Bennett get fired, do I still have a job? If not, I will stay with LSU."

Viloria's not just the strength coach for football.

Do you mean he does other things for football or strength coach for other sports, because if I recall correctly BB hired their own strength coach. I do not know how the other sports are set up.

Vic is the head strength and conditioning coach for the Salvino Center. I guess with the exception of basketballers, my understanding is that all athletes at SMU use the center and are instructed by Vic's staff.
