Orsini / Doherty Hire Question

I can't recall.
But when Orsini was searching for a B-ball coach, was Doherty's name
being floated around on P-fans? Did we know that Doh was a serious contender for the job before the finals or the announcement?

I can't remember.........and was wondering if the Football Coach search would go the same route as it did for b-ball.

sorry, he spelled him wrong and i missed that. point is, no one responded or thought he was even on the radar at the time. it was all "woe is me, we can't get anyone" bs that i see now w/ our FB HC search. we will be happy with big-o's choice!

There were other threads about hiring Doherty. He was not an off the radar candidate.

I do recall that by the end of the search, it seemed to have come down to Rob Evans and Doherty. At least that is the impression left with me.

Read the blog. I said this the other day.

Until he interviewed, he was not on the radar with any media. The search ultimately came down to 1. Doherty; 2. Doherty; 3. Rob Evans. Nobody else was a serious candidate. From the people I talked to, Evans was not even seriously considered, though he was interviewed. He was the clear fallback if Doherty didn't take it.

How do ya'll get the search to work on here? I have had the most trouble with it for quite some time now. Any tips for this guy clearly suffering from "user error"?
