Serious Questions about Barnett

I'm not so sure Barnett can make a comeback so quickly after the CU scandal, which wasn't that long ago. It was one piece of bad press after another for that guy. He was mixed up in a lot of trouble and lost control of his team. I feel like his fall from grace was a little bit steeper than Bowden's, and Bowden's has long since settled.
Considering the above, do you think Barnett has the ability to once again do what he did at Northwestern? What's he doing these days, anyway?

Also, wouldn't the PC Nazi faculty members go ape-sh!t over his hiring? (Not that I would necessarily give a damn.)

I believe that Barnett got screwed at Colorado. Honestly, does anyone think that he wanted a female player on his team. A female player who was a 3rd string kicker. It had to be some other power either a booster or CU administration that thought this would be a good publicity stunt. How does anyone think that putting a female among 100 testosterone filled athletes is a good idea????
Also, there is not a school in the country that doesn't take some of their recruits to a strip club and get them drunk.

most coaches pawn the recruits on the players for the weekend and they turn the other way. almost every big school does it

Obviously, SMU doesn't.

Man, Dallas should have all of the appeal in that area. Men's Club, anyone?

I met Bubbles Cash in 1968.

I don't know how anyone can look at this site and say that if SMU wanted Barnett, he would turn it down. He seems to be chomping at the bit for an opportunity.
After the Bush Library, if SMU hired this guy, the faculty would have a conniption fit. I am not sure if that alone is reason to hire him, but it is a plus.

I guess Chris Colt and her 45's were over the hill by that point in time...or were they?

Sounds familiar but to be honest, Bubbles is the only one I recall.

Will never understand why anyone would be so desperate as to have to pay to see a naked woman. Especially the cheesy ones they trot out at places like that.

Anything to irritate the beejeeberz out of the faculty is fine with me! But most importantly, he worked successfully with great academic fronts at Northwestern and got that program to the Rose Bowl, Citrus Bowl among the New Year's Day game appearances.
He set a precedence at Northwestern that galvanized the alumni base and made it a place for coaches to want to come coach. Now at the Wildcats. They're decent in a BCS conference. They've beaten Michigan St. and Minnesota and get to a bowl every so often.
He is my No. 1 choice!!
