i hope not. There will be about 10 people watching sunday night. foolish to go opposite of the NFL. Its a national broadcast in name only. much less going opposite the Cowboys.

as for Nuehiesal. i don't know. best i can say is he would go all out to win i think, including getting some difference making jucos in here asap...provided he can get them admitted.

Regardless of your feelings for him as a coach, would doing this not be extremely degrading and demeaning to Coach Bennett who would be on the field at the time trying to win a game for SMU? I can not imagine this being done. It would be totally classless.

I think out of respect for PB and Co., they won't announce the new coach until after the last game...assuming they even have their coach by then.

I hope they parachute in the new coach in during SMU's Celebration of Lights...preferably about the time the audience has given up on the out-of-tune "Oh come all yee faithful" guitar rendition...actually (and especially if it's T. Bowden), parachute him during the Voices of Inspiration stuff...in a lighted Elvis suit. THAT would be boss. Could you imagine Bowden parachuting into a flock of SMU sorority girls in a lighted Elvis suit?!? Awesome.

channeling Nick Cage in "Honeymoon in Vegas"...nice. Maybe a rhinestone & sequin Pony on the back?

Sequins, Rhinestone Ponies, Red/Blue Fireworks over Dallas...the whole shebang...maybe we can even broadcast live on the TVs outside AA arena.

sounds like a job for PARM. Shap a Bowden or Neuhisel on one of those Elvises.

Or better still....in the ultimate finale...how 'bout a flying Elvis Oscar usher out the old and in the new?

If they did, they would be stupid. Lest we forget there is a Cowboys game at the same time. Monday's paper will be filled with Cowboys coverage, even if we announced that we hired the resurected corpse of Vince Lombardi. We aren't knocking the Cowboys off the front page of the sports section.
