Somebody talk me off the ledge please.............

It has been ten days and nobody has interviewed. Gary Barnett, who won a Big Ten Title at Northwestern wants the job and he had to go public to be considered. Bowden said no. Orsini would never make a Bennett like hire and will hire a name. We are going to pay between 1 and 1.25 a year.....who is left? Fanchonie is not popular with the $$$ Alumni who are going to have to pay the salary? Mason has options and will wait. Neushisel sucks. Who are we missing.....this is is like the Basketball hire and we all forgot Doherty

Gary Gibbs? maybe that's not a name though. I hope it's not Pasqualoni. Guy Morriss? That would suck too, though, IMO. Larry Coker?

How demoralized would we all be if this hire wound up being something along the lines of David Bailiff?

Then again, what if SMU went out there and did something none of us thought was possible, and parlays the NAACP stuff along with a big sack of $$ and brings Todd Dodge to the Hilltop? The money everyone claims we're offering would more than triple has salary, wouldn't it?

there was a report on sportsline that Bowden said he was not interested.

Unless your name is Orsini, or Orsini provided information to someone directly, no one knows who has said what to whom. Except for Bigdaddy90210.

I believe the only report out there said Bowden will consider other options, as any smart candidate would. I don't think he has said he's not interested in SMU, just that he's interested in several possibilities. Makes sense.

Bowden is being courteous. He does not want this job. Sorry.
