Ty Willingham. I read somewhere that despite the winning record, there are empty seats at home games, donors are slow to pony up for stadium remodels, and Jim Mora Jr continues to campaign for the job.
Did well at Stanford. Okay at Notre Dame...better than CW, in fact. No nonsense guy. Runs a clean ship. Notre Dame ties.
Maybe a situation similar to Tubby Smith going from basketball nirvana to Minnesota?

Agree with you. I don't think he will leave Wash. though.

Would love to have him, but again, don't think he is interested. Would definitely put him ahead of Gary Barnett because he has no moral transgressions. However, of the viable candidates I think Barnett is the most likely to turn around our program.

re:"bowden hasn't done jack sh*t. at least fran has a history of winning to some degree"
As a college head football coach, Terry Bowden compiled a 111-53-2 record.
In his first season at Auburn in 1993, Terry Bowden led the Tigers to a perfect 11-0 season.
Bowden's Tigers would run the string of undefeated games until the final game of the 1994 season against arch-rival Alabama and finish his first two seasons with a 20-1-1 record.
The win-streak is still the longest in AU football history.
During his tenure at Auburn, Terry Bowden recruited 18 players that were drafted into the National Football League, including three players taken in the First Round.
In 1997, Bowden's Auburn Tigers were one point away from winning the SEC Conference Title, when they gave up a last minute, 63-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning to Peerless Price of the Tennessee Volunteers.

re: "point?"
The point is obviously that anyone that says
"Bowden hasn't done jacksht" is dead wrong.

Ty Willingham coming to Texas? If that happens I will reveal who I am and rake leaves of every poster on this board throughout the winter. C'mon, only Texas people like Texas, unless you are running for your life. Good place to go into hiding (Doh).

He may actually be available because Ty's 2007 Huskies are
currently 3-6, placing him in the hotseat.
