One model to copy is Ron Zook. The speed of the turn-around in Champaign is pretty impressive and he has been there less than three years. Look for a coach, who will have this said about him"

"Coach Zook is one of the hardest working guys I have ever been around. He was always focused, always doing extra work, and was always doing everything he could to improve as a football coach. He raises the intensity level around the office, because his energy and enthusiasm is infectious. He has an incredible sense of urgency and he has the same sense of urgency every day that someone would have if they were playing for the national championship. He is a great recruiter and is exceptional at building relationships. His players love him, because they know that he is caring, he is honest, and he is interested in them."

sure it was said, but Bennett never delivered as a game day coach-

That is the Big diffrence between Zook and PB (who will wallow away and never be heard from again) He is not a good coach just a good guy witha lot of enthusiasm

Maybe he should try sales

Oscar had problems finding a cheap looking suit for the photo but thanks to his friend, Herb Tarlek from WKRP in Cincinnati, he found one.

Zook is a great recruiter. He is an above average coach. Living in Florida through the Zook era gave me the chance to see what he did with the Gators. He recruited great talent, but could not do anything with it. He won a couple big games, but in the SEC, 8-5, 7-4 seasons just don't cut it. I think he is in the right place in the Big Eleven, where teams aren't very strong. Well, maybe it can work in a place like C-USA...
