Trifecta weekend

Friday the Lady Mustangs get beat by Texas A$M (though I do believe this team is going places this year). The entire weekend the men's Bball team could not win a game in their own tournament. The valiant football team continued to make enough mistakes to blow a 15 point lead and bring home the loss. The perfect trifecta for the weekend. Every day, a solid loss.
I feel low. Thank god we have such a great dance school and brag about that around the water cooler.

Hey... the men's soccer team demolished C. Arkansas on Friday. The sky isn't falling yet.

We should all feel embarrassed that our athletic programs have sunk to this level.
Toward the end of the men's BB game Sunday, I walked out of Moody and really questioned what was the point of doing this and continuing to support something that appears rudderless.
Probably more frustration than anything, but I'm sure we've all done it. And the worst thing about it is that it happened on Homecoming Weekend.
See you for Central Florida.

What do you expect from a university who has not made a commitment to athletics? I find it amazing how SMU cannot believe more people will not turn out as to blame the fan base for this mess they have created. You get out of something what you put into it. SMU is getting the results (losses) that they put into the program. It is nice to actually see an athletic director who seems to want to win and is taking steps to do it. However, more athlete friendly majors and juco and transfer hours must be addressed for SMU to start its march towards the good old "top 25 in sports" goal.

Maybe you would feel better if you started supporting another school/team since this one has left you "embarrassed" and "frustrated" especially on your Homecoming Weekend. I can only imagine the fragility of your self esteem. Walgreen's is having a sale on Kleenex.

I don't care if we get Spurrier as coach we are not going to win the conference next year either. This team is BAD!! I do think Orsini is laying the framework for 3-5 years down the road. Blame Turner for not running Krispy Kopeland off soooner.

And tell me how this response made any sense?

Unless we get a new coach quickly who can get 7 to 8 JUCO's in here then next year does not look like a conference title.
