why does demyron hesitate so much?
is he a power back trying to be barry sanders?
why doesn't he just crash into the line more?
demyron has been a big disappointment to me this season

to me he has run soft alot, but the plays they call for him make me crazy!!! he is a big powerful back, why run him on a sweep play!!! i am fine if he bounces a dive to the outside like he did on his 60+ yard run, but stop trying to get a 230 lb back on the corner!!! run him north south, use mapps on the edge!!!

I don't understand this either. His big runs are either up the middle or running behind the tackle. Every time they run him sideways he loses yards - every time. I could see this and I'v eonly watched SMU play twice this year.

He's extremely tentative and dances when there's no hole. He's big and powerful enough to make his own holes. I want to see him put his head down and power through. Very frustrating to see such talent wasted.

It would help if he had a lead blocker.
I thought his game against Rice was his best of the year.

He needs to be his own lead blocker. This dancing around is ridiculous.

I think Martin's lack of success is more of a function of the offense. James Mapps is more like the type of back that should have success in this type of offense because it requires a quick back. Martin is clearly more of a single back or I formation type of RB. It will be interesting to see what type of offense the new coach brings in next year. Willis is clearly a spread formation qb and would probably struggle under the center due to his height.

i don't understand what you mean here? the line is the same height whether you are in shotgun or under center. the only difference would be the angle he is making reads at pre snap . . . and of course the drop back... as he a shotgun QB at Denton Ryan? anyone?

Denton Ryan runs the spread. I hope that the new coach takes a look at some of our other QB's, because a big part of why we aren't winning this year is Willis turning the ball over all the time.

that's funny cause a big part of why we score any points at all is Justin throwing TD's and scrambling for yards when the protection breaks down . . .

Which has resulted in 1 win. There is no plan, no focus, no discipline in what we run - either side of the ball... I think the head coach micromanaged his way out of his job. JW is playing his high school game against college teams.

the kid can't do it all, the playcalling seems horific, our style on offense is poor, (running feakin' sweeps with Demyron is crazy), our defense is all in baggy jeans on the sidelines, freshman are starting, . . . all that adds to one win, you are correct.

Last I checked, points don't matter when the other team finishes with more.
