That thought has crossed my mind a few times the past few weeks. Nobody, I mean nobody could sell SMU like Ron Meyer.

Dude, we can start a campaign of two!
I'll call Sherwood and see if he's available too.

ThadFilms,
Spoken like a true fan. You know I got your back. I'll put in a call to Sherwood first thing in the morning as well. LOL.... We just have to get that lifetime ban removed. We'll get that I-45 corridor back in no time.

Booyah!
Bobby Waters might have some eligibility left.
Hey, is Bill Clements still alive? Seriously, roll that bag of bones on up to the hilltop.

Coach (Meyer) as we call him at Gleneagles CC said he would take the SMU job in a second. He also had dinner with Orsini last week. Orsini was only getting Meyer's thoughts on potential coaches. A great guy overall, but could and would never happen.

It's nice to know that Orsini knows how to talk to a winner. Maybe there is hope after all if Orsini is picking Meyer's brain.
Even Myers eventaully tires of the NCAA rat race

I remember when coaching pro ball that Ron Myer thought his prior SMU relationship to Dickerson would facilitate reaching a contractual agreement with Eric to play for Myer's team. NOT! Between dealing with salary caps, pro agents, andA ridiculous rules about amateurism, it is no wonder that some of the most successful football coaches stay retired.

Retired, playing golf and gin most days at Gleneagles. Has done some consulting jobs when asked. Casino host for whales in Vegas, if I remember, maybe at the Bellagio?

I can't help but think that Meyer really enjoyed his stay at SMOOO & to this day, he feels some affinity to the place. Just a thought.
