Since no one really knows who SMU's next HC will be...except maybe Steve O...let's have a little fun with what remains of the 2007 season.

Guess the date that SMU will announce its next head football coach.

I say Dec. 3, 2007.

Fulfils his "comittment" to let PB finish out the season.

Most importantly. No Cowboys game that Sunday, so we won't be pushed down to the last 30 seconds of the sports broadcast.

Now that I think about it, I could also see an announcement on Saturday night and we get some pub on the Saturday night college football segments.

I think the "leak" will happen shortly after the game and, if it's like what we've been told as far as being a "WOW" hire, then it will show up on the Sat night game, no doubt.

I'm liking the way this sounds. SMU getting positive press on a Saturday night is very appealling. And quite unusual lately!

There is also no Cowboys game the next Sunday (GB on Thursday), but if we wait that long, I fear we will lose too much momentum/recruting time.

if anything thats happened recently in college sports this year holds true, 3 days before the announcement will be officiall be released espn will report who will be the coach, most like it will tka place the sunday after the memphis game smu cant suffer a bad recruiting year or it will set back the new coach even more.
