Question: Would Eliminating BE BCS Status Help all Mid-Majors?
Posted: Mon Jun 30, 2003 7:49 pmIt occurred to me that the loss of BCS Status for the Big East would improve the circumstances for all non-BCS and Mid-Major schools.
By having a minority number of schools in BCS Conferences, the Mid-Majors could more favorably gain access to BCS opportunities or Play-offs, if they are created. With a majority of schools in the BCS, it would permit them to exclude the Mid-Major conferences deliberately without as much heat.
