If it is Fran, we don't have to buy email subscriptions that come with secret decoder rings, do we?

LakeHighlands, you actually believe this? I hope you are just posting to have fun. Put yourself in these coaches shoes. Pretty big shoes for you. What would make you come to SMU? Don't say money. All D1 schools have money. Don't say, a desire to resurrect a program. That has been tried. What could it be? What is the incentive?

I'm not saying this applies to the three above, but there very well could be a top shelf coach with a personal connection to SMU or Dallas who could come here. It isn't impossible. Let people have hope.

I do think SMU is an attractive coaching job beacuse of the following

SMU football has a rich history and name
Dallas is the epicenter of college football recruiting
Great Facilities
7-3 makes you a friggin heroe (low expectations)
1.5 million is still alot of dang money

Charlie was hot back when we had $300,000 to pay a coach

No, juat trying to be realistic. What would be the incentive for a top shelf coach to come to SMU?
