SMU will rebound.

Orsini is going to line up a coach that will turn SMU around, there is absolutely no doubt about it.

Just an unbelievable game today, Mustangs....and I honestly don't even know what else to say at this point.

See y'all next year in Dallas.

Just tell me that field goal didn't actually graze the left upright, but rather that your kicker missed it and I will be content.

It was an awesome game. Looks like the team played this one
for Phil. He's got class and hopefully will move on to great things.

Pretty weak crowd from the Memphis fans......and yes, I am aware how bad our attendance is.

I doubt if we would have half that crowd given the frigid conditions. However, I did notice that former cheerleader and Southwest flight attendant Paul Layne is still attending the games! Hadn't seen him all year until I saw him on TV, but I think he makes every SMU game.

Paul is a great fan. Always supporting SMU since the 70's.

Yep...Paul was there...got some good 'face time' on the game today. Way to go, Paul!

1. He's a defensive coach (hard to believe, I know)...he was the DC at Kansas St. before he came here. Doubt a OC job is forthcoming.

2. He'll have plenty of interest from major D1 schools as a DC. Many believe he'll be in Lubbock as an assistant to Leach next year.

What I wish for Phil Bennett: a nice, quiet 'adjustment' period with his new wife and stepdaughters in Bryan/College Station. God knows, the man deserves a rest. He's had tragedy in his life (1st wife's tragic death) and a hard job at SMU. Take some time and then - if he's ready - get back in to college football somewhere where he's comfortable and can enjoy it. Best of luck, PB.
