for the football team to go right back to work. Take a couple weeks off and get back in the weight room, film room and of coarse the class room.
Vic will be instumental in his second full year here. This is where we go 8-4 or 9-3.

9-3? I just want to hold an opponent to less than 30 points in a game. We are a long way from 9-3 giving up points like water. In truth, that is why we lost all the close games. We had no backbone on defense to make a key play or stop. Where is the improvement on D going to come from?

go to a 3 4 defense with serge as nose guard and turn all those tight ends into linebackers..........

Yenga had 10 tackles which if you don't follow stats closely is an extremely high number for a DE because they only play half the field. Either he needs to rapidly put on weight or move. Just looks like a LB to me and he appears to have the speed and body type. I don't think the other kid has the quickness or body type to play LB in the modern College Defense. Better to hit the weightroom and remain at DE. LBs must be able to play in pass coverage these days especially outside.

We have the front four back. Yenga, Smart, Parhman, Leonard, with Handy, Serge, Thomas and Johnson in there somewhere. Linebackers are Bonilla, Taylor Bon, Pete Phelps, Moczy, KJ Ellis and Goldthorpe. DB's are Hudman, Dennis at the safties and McCann and bell at the corners. We need to get in the weight room NOW! Holding opponents to less than 30 a game in this conference, no way. Not enough athletes at any given school in CUSA.

smart looks like a lb to me too, i dont know. Why couldn't Phleps get onto the field this year? what makes him our solution for next year? he was not exactly a 19 year old true freshman. We need somebody to step up and be a Chris Bordano type. Good player, but realistic expectation of what we need in the middle.

We don't have a middle man. This is why the 3-4 seems so realistic. We can rotate some DL and keep them fresh, as well as use the speed of our linebackers, because they are small. WE NEED TO GET IN THE WEIGHTROOM NOW!

McKinney would be an interesting try at middle LB. He has the size, speed and intensity. He needs to be on the field somewhere.

Patrick Strodtman is the only linebacker on the roster with the weight to play the middle at 240 lbs. Bio says that he is a tremendous athlete - runs a 4.5 40, benches 350 lbs., squats 550 lbs. and has a 32-inch vertical leap. Was also a powerlifter in high school.

They both seem fired up all the time so I like their intensity, but both Leonard and Bonilla seem undersized. Unless they can grow two inches in the off season we need some juco plugs on d line and LB in my view.

I am going to go out on a limb here, but I am going to guess at a Junior College.

He should never leave the field. How could someone with this much athletic ability just play special teams?
