From what I have been told the announcement could even come earlier then my prediction of Tuesday. The contract has been signed. The only thing holding up the announcement is the gathering of former Ponys to make a banner press conference. So expect a leak in the next 24 hours. GO PONYS!

More News: Word is the contract is a 5 year deal with a 3 million dollar penalty if Bowden leaves. I think this is great because basically if Bowden gets SMU on the right path and then wants to leave, we get our money back. Go "PONIES"!

A football player relative. Wow. Your 4th cousin thrice removed? Pathological liar too? maybe he drops acid frequently?

not that I am endorsing his statement, but his relative could know what was going on if he had been contacted to be one of the former ponies at the banner press conference.
Again, not an endorsement, just speculating in response to your question.

I dont know if you belong to any other forums, but you cannot just go into a board and throw out information without a link or any credibility. If this information is correct then I apoligize in advance, but if you are just screwing around with us shame on you.

alright, well if the former relative is CJ, I might buy it...
I still think we're all in for a huge letdown when the HC is named. We as SMU boosters never get what we want, or hope for.
Doherty was a pleasant aberration.

FAU big, no. But everyone can identify the guy in two sentences or less. "Remember the coach from Notre Dame who went to UNC? That guy," as opposed to "well, have you ever heard of Valdosta State? Well, you see...
