Jerry had no intention--zero--of putting it in Dallas. All that talk with the city of Dallas was grade A baloney because he knew that Arlington was prepared to hand him over the .50% sales tax that was expiring from the Ballpark agreement.

I don't disagree that he had no intention of putting it here but isn't he getting the same $325 million from Arlington that he wanted from Dallas and that $325 million is being paid by the sales tax increase?

My guess has been that he wanted to develop peripheral land which would have been a lot tougher in Dallas.
