That is all. I'm tired of being in the dark...... worse, I'm tired of thinking we aren't doing anything. If Bowden and Barnett are interested in the job.... why not give it to one of them?


Ole Miss and Aggie filled their positions in a day. We've had a month.... dammit. If it's a current NFL head coach, just announce it - and say he can't come until the end of the season. If it's coordinator at a school that's going to a bowl game just leak that much information.

A&M did it for bowl game purposes and Ole Miss just had good timing with their firing of Ororgon (sp)...

I have told you from day one - the interest in this job was just not there. Orsini should have jumped on Barnett from the outset unless of course his hands were tied by Turner or the administration. If so he should have gone after the next best sure thing and locked it up. He is looking foolish now.

im sure orsinis hands were tied down by turner or the admin because a few days after Barnett said he wanted the job here, it was announced that NO ONE with a PAST would not be coaching at smu

Yea I want some news as well. This is getting frustrating just waiting. IF the rumor about the players finding out who the new coach is today are true, than maybe someone will leak it by this evening.

It was a routine team meeting. Nothing abnormal. People love to make stuff up around here.

There is probably not going to be an announcement today - no activity in the press conference room yet

they confiscated my whizanator at the airport......thats my report..

So yeah, Dwan made a report, he gave hints, I said I knew who he was talking about - without asking him.... and if we got who he was talking about, then WOW. Well seems as it wasn't the case.

If you saw his post earlier, Dwan is sticking to his source - I have no idea who the man is.... all I know is a story I had heard about Butch Davis in the Austin Airport. Unbelievable.... Dwan is sticking to his source that "Orsini got his guy, and it's the guy he wanted all along."

I just think if it was Butch.... well then we would have known about it by now.

But who I thought it was that Dwan was hinting at was Butch Davis, which was - of course, too good to be true - but I felt if I kept my mouth shut about it I would be doing my part to make this too good to be true thing happen. Idle chat forced Krags to call a press conference.

Just imagine if idle chat that Butch Davis was coming here caused an internet furor of the Kragthorpe level, there would be no way it could have happened... I mean despite the slim .003% chance of it happening any way.

It's like one of my friends when we were kids, he found out what he was getting for Christmas it was awesome and amazing, his parents found out what he found out .... and well .... he got something else.


So for now....

I just want to know something!
