Preseason predictions

I wish somebody more computer savvy than me would bump up the preseason prediction thread, I'd like to see who got closest to our final record.

I don't recall. I might have said 5-7. I think I thought they would be in it until the end.

My dark side was even wrong, because I thought 3-9.

This was my prediction from the SMU ESPN message board with a three game preview...

Three games into the 2007 campaign, I think the best SMU can hope for is 3-5 wins. Rice and Tulane are the only games remaining whose teams are ranked lower than SMU.

SMU hosts UTEP and plays a weak Memphis away and so maybe SMU can pull minor upsets in those two games.

Otherwise, we are looking to find a win/wins amongst these, just to become bowl eligible:

-An embarassed/peeved TCU away (after the UT & AF losses)
-A highly ranked Tulsa and So. Miss, both away
-A UCF team at home that gave UT a scare
-A gun-slinging UH team

Au revior N'awlins winter vacation plans!

I got laughed at by some new, non-smu alum ticket sakes guy when I declined the stadium club tickets and said "I don't see you you win more than 2-3 games this year."

I sure showed him....unfortunately
