Enough speculation on whose going to be the next coach.
Where is Bennett and the assistant coaches going to go? Any word on positions they've taken?
And my 2 cents...It's going to be Pete Carroll, he's going to come and turn us around. Why? Cause he can; with his name and success. Players will jump at the chance to play for him and that will turn SMU around. SMU is not a graveyard for every coach, just ones without the big name and big wins.

im guessing bennet will end up DC somewhere. not a K-State caliber school though. he needs to build his reputation as a defensive coach again

Bennett's going to be the DC for Briles at Baylor - that's my guess. If you're going to dream about coaches, you might as well aim for the fences. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket tonight.

That's not unthinkable, he's the only SMU coach post DP that should have had a win at Kyle field, would have happened except for a non TD by the ags at the end of the game and had a tie at the Alamo dome the next year. Wow how far have we dropped since even Rossley. He actually had some good things going.

Um, we didn't play them at Kyle in '94. Alamodome was that year.

I was at both games, and it stil makes me a little ill to think of them. A decent field goal kicker at the Alamo dome and we beat them. I also seem to recall that the refs called Ramon's knee down in the game at College Station (I thought it was the year after the tie...) and I didn't think it was.
