She bites.......no, literally, she bites. She's probably eating a doughnut right now.

I mean she can't at least call around to the usual suspects and catch a drift of what's going on? What I am talking about could be done from her desk.

If we already have our guy, vacancies do not matter. Kate will get nothing because there are not even rumors to be spread because if we already have our guy there is no running around from state to state to find someone. I think Orisini had his guy when he pulled the plug on Bennett. That is why he did it when he did. He was prepared and he acted. Maybe I am right, maybe I am wrong, but either way, I think we have a coach 12/3.

I'm sorry, if they could break WaterGate, I have little doubt they can break this story. I'm starting to wonder though (based on her silence) if she already knows the coach and has an agreement with Orsini, that in return she will be allowed to break the story????

As I have repeatedly said, Kate is lazy. She is waiting for a leak to be handed to her on a silver platter.

This is beyond lazy..........She hasn't written more then a paragraph in 1 and 1/2 weeks. And on top of that the Kragthorpe Press Conferance was broken on this message board. I think she is in on it.

First, the beat writers absolutely read the message boards. Calvin Watkins admitted it.

Second, Kate is writing, she just isn't writing about the coaching search, which is absolutely bizaare. I guess it is because Orsini doesn't send out regular press releases on the subject. Look forward to a hard hitting story on Morestead's first team Conference USA honors tomorrow.

I defended her about two weeks ago, but this goes beyond horsesh*t reporting.

She's done two briefs on Barnett and Mason, that academic story, which I am sure the college editor told her to pursue and then there was the brief last week with Kragthorpe because she probably followed the postings here.

One would think that she and Orsini should have had a heart to heart to talk about how she was going to cover this and what she could and could not expect in return.

I think what she does is write a good story and that buys some capital with the editors because they care as little about the SMU beat as she does. So then she can coast.

If you're reading this Kate, then shame on you. Stop slumping in your chair at the basketball games and get off your butt and act like a reporter.

What is so special about 12/3? Is it just that its the Monday after the season or do you have info that that's the day?
