Can We Cross Him Off?

Dave Christiansen, O-Coordinator at Mizzou.

If we're "striking out" with our first choice options, and don't want to touch those with some sort of past, then it would perhaps go to a selection of coordinators. So his named has been mentioned a good deal as somewhat of a hot commodity as a coach.

Why would he leave to take a head coaching job right before playing for the national championship (assuming they win this weekend)?

Would he announce he's leaving after it?

Would he hire a staff while trying to ready his team for the NC, or at least a January BCS game?

I think, no. Tell me if I'm wrong.

On paper, at least, he's pretty impressive.
I don't know, I'm starting to hope the Chan Gailey rumor holds true.

This guy is a Copeland type hire. Look who is ranked number one and then hire their best coordinator. That is not the way steve-o works

Name the coach that Copeland hired using your formula: " Look who is ranked number one and then hire their best coordinator. '

I don't know if I can face people in Dallas with Chan Gailey as the SMU coach.

KState was at least in the Top Ten for a period of time, and Bennett was his top Defensive Coordinator and Texas recruiter.

Why not? You been facing the public with Bennett as coach for the last six years. The only difference with Gailey is somebody in Dallas might actually notice SMU.

Who are you and what have you done to The Blog? I know he would not make that statemnt since he has had to endure just being an SMU fan in Dallas for the past several tears.

(I actually meant the last word to be years but figured the typo actually fit the statement better.)

If he is the coach, and he wins, you will face them straight up, and you will like it. :!:
