With it being 2:30 PM and the Cowboys game tomorrow, we have officially entered the PR blackout zone. SMU would not dare make an announcement this week. Virtual guarantee that nothing will happen this week.
What is a minimum 36 day coaching search between friends?
The delay means something

Although we may not know how to interpret it, the long delay in hiring means something important, and I don't think it is just a sign of how good the security is in the AD's office. The early dismissal was intended to acquire a good coach. If we don't have an announcement by Monday, then we are in BIG trouble. I allow that the conferecne playoff games need to be finished before some people might be free to comment about thier career changes. After Saturday, then the delay can only mean that we can't get who we want. I do think that UH and Bauylor will get preference before us and that hurts.

Does it really matter? How many radio and TV stations will even report it when it does happen...if it EVER happens?
