What if...

10 to 15 years ago we decided get into the "game" like we are apparently doing now?

Imagine if we would have offered coaches and athletic staff these dollar figures to come and coach our kids...

Turner is the one to blame here for the lack of respect we are getting in the coaching community. He now realizes that athletics is the PR/Marketing tool for universities. I think he just figured out that nobody ever won a coin-toss by having to spell a word on the field.

We are either too late, or we are about to witness another 5-6 year setback!!!

We could have been bitchin' about going 8-4 right now...

Neither students nor alumni, nor even professors, call rally around a Math or English class, no matter how cool it is.

Turner was not here 10-15 years ago. Also, he brought the Boulevard to SMU from Ole Miss. Not trying to say he has been a great catalyst for SMU athletics, but he has not been SMU's downfall as some people seem to be implying. Turner is not to blame for SMU's football woes : it has been a difficult situation for a long time now and you have to remember that he is, after all, a university president - he was not hired to resurrect the football program.

Hey! I'll rally around partial differential equations, eigenvalues, and triple integrals if I feel like it.
