"Neuheisel has frequently been spotted around State College, PA in recent years, fueling speculation that he's in line for a coaching position at Penn State once legend Joe Paterno retires. He is also rumored to be a candidate for the head coaching position at his alma mater, UCLA,[2] if Karl Dorrell gets fired. Ravens head coach Brian Billick already assured that he would allow Neuheisel to leave the team before the completion of the 2007 NFL season, if he gets a college coaching job."

there is no way in hell penn state would ever hire him to succeed Joe Pa. nothing against him or coaching ability, but Penn State is probably going to let Joe Pa pick someone on his coaching staff. if not, they will get someone with little to no head coaching experience so they can build the program around him
