Still wide open I suppose, but the leading candidates according to the rumors are who?
1) Paul Johnson
2) Chan Gailey
3) Neuheisal
4) Franchione
5) Kragthorpe
6) Terry Bowden
In that order? Am I leaving anyone out?

The Ridiculous thing is that we should be happy if ANY of those coaches on that list come here to little ole SMU. It is easy to get caught up in this mess, but come on, lets not forget the past 20 years. Any of the guys mentioned are a step in the right direction.

Well you can roundhouse kick 1-3 off the board and suicide slide 5 and 6 off as well. That being said we have a new coach

I like the list. Hope the list likes us.
I just don't want some of us to fall in love with a Bowden name and then be upset if a Fran type name gets picked. That would still be a step up if you let yourself step back and really look at the situation.

Thanks for bringing some common sense to this board.
