Johnson is a wow because look at all the rumors and write-ups about him leaving Navy and where he would go. GA Tech, Nebraska...SMU? It would be a hire that nobody expected us to be able to do. It would be, "Paul Johnson is leaving for there?! WOW!"
And that is good publicity.

Nebraska wants him because Osborne wants the Option back...and GA Tech is leaning...not a WOW...but a good coach...

He seems to be very well respected.
He could really go bigtime if his resume read:

He's also won two national championships at the D-1AA level at Georgia Southern where he coached Adrian Peterson (no not that Adrian Peterson), who has more career rushing yards than any other player in D-1AA history (and also more than anyone in D-1A history). His 1999 championship was won by a score of 59-24 over Jim Tressel's Youngstown State team.
I'm a little bit skeptical of his recruiting, but give him the right assistants and it will work.
