If we actually are interested in Johnson, I am sure that negotiations between the intermediaries have been on going since Bennett was let go. I just speculate if this was not Orsini's way of letting Johnson know, through Turner, that after the Army/Navy game when the true meeting takes place, they do not want Johnson to waiver and start to play us against other schools. Kind of now or never. If we have to sit back and wait while he talks to Nebraska and Georgia Tech, and Duke, etc. we probably will not get him.
I think a deal with someone (I still do not know who) was actually agreed to in principal right after Bennett was fired. I think that person is still on board and we will learn next week who that is. I will be happy with Johnson but also happy with whomever else it may be.
