It's hard to get a grasp of the current overall sentiment by reading each thread. There's a lot of "I don't want (fill in the name)", but who DO you want?

Paul Johnson is the following:
1. A true "cop out"
2. Evidence that Orsini failed and that we got turned down by top coaches (including Bowden)
3. Proof that SMU is still not serious about football
4. triple option highschool coach

I guess that shows how little we the fans know. Perhaps we should defer to someone with experience at selecting competent coaches. I can't think of anyone...oh...well, maybe someone like SO.

What really surprises me here is that Fran has so little support and Gailey none. Both would be solid hires, Gailey more so I believe.
