Would you take a new job for essentially the same money without checking out your new employer? Do you not think that PJ has scoped out SMU and looked at the personnel? My guess that the primary reason he would come would be so he could expand his offensive talents to much more than just the triple option. He sees a QB that can run and throw with the same on the bench. He sees some able running backs not being used to their fullest extent, and he sees some receivers that have some talent also. I would imagine, if he is the "genius" that folks that know more than I have said, that he would like to expand his offensive skills to another level and a school like SMU would be a perfect fit to do this. We are raw but have some mid level talent and we play a schedule that is not overwhelming, or at least should not be. He probably would have some difficulty against higher level teams at least immediately.

I think, if it is Johnson, we will be very surprised in the type and style of offense that he runs. I think it will adapt to our strengths and allow him to recruit kids that want to show their skills on the field, hopefully in front of their family.
