Gents-

Hopefully most of you have your money on the sidelines during these turbulent times in the market, however somehow I doubt it. Judging by some of these posts, its very clear that most don't have the patience or discipline to be real investors.

The gossip and non-sense being flung around this site with respect to the coaching rumors is pathetic. If most of you are this volatile around a coaching change, I can't imagine how each of you manage your $10,000 401K's in the marketplace during a turbulent economy.

Most of you bad mouth Paul Johnson, yet we would be fortunate to obtain such quality services and a winning track record. However, it is very unlikely a winning coach would make a jump down from Navy to SMU for the same compensation. That is like being CEO of TXU to take the reigns at Garland Power and Light.

My guess is that Orsini is still shopping and having difficulty getting the candidate he woud like. Let's face it, there have been many that have entered the revolving door of SMU coaching and walked out unsuccessfully.

It won't take much to turn this team into a winner....there is talent there (for Conf-USA). Let's hope we fill the void soon.

I am guessing many of you are overextended due to the credit crunch. Hang in there if things get rough, I'm sure many of you will land on your feet.

Cheers,

RA

You are ridiculous and absurdly stupid. And for what it's worth, I caused the credit crunch. Welcome to the board.

Thank You KnuckleStang.

To the rest of you paupers, I was posting on MustangManiacs.com(the real site that regretably shut down) before most of you got your first erection......so pipe down.

We are not far removed from being a winner......there is a very talented team of athletes coming back and with the right coach we will be competing for CUSA title immediately.

Erections aside, it's great to have a classic back...what happened to you?

I couldn't find the time to post on this board anymore. I moved to the East Coast, Real Estate was booming, my 3rd wife filed for divorce, middle son wound up in jail again, etc....I digress.

In addition to that, this board seemed to have lost its sense of fun.

However, I have been reading the board quite a bit lately and I am encouraged by the passion of the SMU faithful. I have never seen so many on the board here.

I am frustrated as many are, but SMU football is turning the corner whether many of you want to believe it or not. The blvd has turned into a great tradition and our team is exciting to watch.

I have personally invested in Orsini and I know he won't disappoint. The future is bright on the Hilltop.
